Late Summer Workshop Sept 18 - 20, Watch Hill, Fire Island, register by Sept 4, $80 deposit
Dear friends,
You are invited to Fire Island to celebrate Earth season. September 18-20, elemental weekend retreat and gathering. By Ferry & Walk-in
*
Each year in late summer/early fall, I love to gather with friends & folks for practice and to mark the procession of the elements. In the Taoist system, this is a highly supported moment to cultivate intention, to set daily rituals in motion, to practice living simply, and to get embodied. Compost & begin again.
This year’s gathering is a retreat at Watch Hill Fire Island Campground, a walk-in campsite (.3 miles from Patchogue-to-Fire Island Ferry), with several sites reserved for a medium-sized group ~ for practice, hangout, nature-culture & reflection time, and movement. With the seashore, dunes, and hiking nearby at Otis Pike Wilderness, it is a great place for togetherness and time for rest. The cost is low for accessibility and for joyous sharing time.
Movement practice will include Earth-based qigong; meditation and contemplation; open, guided movement practice relating with the environment.
