As part of a process to support creative research and writing, I developed the idea and pedagogical tool of the learning crystal, which is a way to draw the facets of a person's experiences and visualize them, in effect crystalizing the intent and project. There are many shapes and forms it can take, and support through this process can be illuminating in learning about values, articulations, refinements.
The idea for a learning crystal came out of a practice session with my UCLA Tap group, 2021
