Relay Felting

One of the strands of inspiration for Relay is the image, material, and phenomenon of felt. Ever-spiraling, it enmeshes through overlapping strands of wool. What a great image to dance with, and what an image for the workings of life. Not to mention the term connotes the quality of lived, engaged experience: that which is felt.

The project was an interconnecting of conversations and walks that were entangled through both the pathways of walking and through the experiences and themes as they converged through the dialogue. What arose was a quality of feltedness, so too the project followed the craft practice and movement praxis of the medium.
