Cave Forms Group Cave

Group Cave as Library, Temescal Arts Center, 2016, photo by esco lacqua

The big group cave, suited for 14 people or so to move and cave within, under the grommetted constellation/cuntstellations of the cave hags nadirs has been used for many purposes, such as caving with the cave coast collective, as a movement space for the cave forms overnight, as a tent- structure, pictured here, for the Cave Forms Gallery + Vivid Archive, as a groundcloth, as a piece for sacred folding, and more. It has an astrological reading associated with it, and it is auspiciously created based on cosmic cycles. Created in collaboration with and fabricated by Geana of GDS Clothgoods. Now, it lives in combination of neighborhood East Oakland-based artists Ainsley Tharp and Gabriela of blaQyard. May it continue to offer unique social, cosmic and aesthetic experiences in perpetuity.
