The book Embodied Lives, co-edited by Katya Bloom, Sandra Reeve, and mg was published in 2014. Leading up to this, Suprapto Suryodarmo and Sandra Reeve co-organized a book tour with support from Katya and margit. The tour included workshops, conferences, lectures, performances, discussions, laboratories, gatherings and more, starting in Tejakula, Bali and ended in Solo, Java. margit was active in the production and construction of the event, and presented lecture discussions, participated, performed, moderated, and learned much along the way. In addition to Lemah Putih, the event was supported through Solo's late great curator mbah Ardus Sawega at Balai Soejatmoko, and with our distributor, Triarchy Press.
If you are interested in a small peek into the events of the book launch for Embodied Lives, take a look here: http://www.triarchypress.net/blossoming, and if you would like to purchase the book, there are still copies for sale. Among 30 chapters, margit wrote a piece called "A Presencing Dial", which describes how the movement work has helped them in modulating presence, as seen through the lens of practice, performance, and everyday life.
In addition to this tour, margit curated and organized a local book opening at Subterranean Arthouse in Berkeley, with participating book artists and authors Diane Butler, Susan Bauer, as well as local and constellative artist-thinkers, such as Seth Eisen, Maureen Whiting, Ann Wizer, Claire Duplantier Burns, and more.
