DANCE AND MOVEMENT ARTS

Movement as a source, as a practice, and as a window

Over the years, margit has taught a mosaic of dance and movement workshops and classes in and around movement and dance. The substance and materials draw from a wide array of forms, practices, creative processes, integrations, cultural, and aesthetic research. These are offered in different contexts, - in studios, outdoors, and online- and offered throughout the year through the vivid grove creative cycle. The materials are drawn from decades of dance and movement research, steeped in cultural contextualizing, composition, choreography, collective study, and creative practice.

Some of the titles (though in no way exhaustive) include: The Tuning Garden, Moving Qi, Dance Vision, Qigong Dance Furnace, Feldenkrais-into-Movement, Art Guild, Vivid Space Dance, Contemplative Dance Practice (created by Barbara Dilley), Restorative Movement, Sensing Body's Moving Language, Art Evolutions, Inscriptions, Cave Art / Incubations, Embodied Language and Culture, and Creative Research/Tools.

margit has also gathered people in all different sizes of groups for sharing movement, collective experiments, and subtle and sensing movement and culture contexts, some of which have never been named. Shx also teaches collaboratively, and some of these learning and sharing projects are listed throughout the vivid grove site.
