Eleni Stecopoulos and Margit Galanter have engaged in a collaborative inquiry since 2012, when Margit participated as a presenter through Eleni’s inspired and transdisciplinary series The Poetics of Healing. Their work embraces realms as diverse as sacred landscape, embodied praxis, prosodics, and poetics, all through the lenses of cultural research. They have incorporated each other’s respective explorations into a unique mix, including work as far-ranging as Edouard Glissant, ancient Greek sacred texts, Chinese energetic philosophies and practice, and Cave Forms. Their projects have included teaching workshops such as “Earth’s Body: Writing through the Elements” and “Cave Tones: For Opacity,” and they have also presented experimental performative research “Triple Burner,” as part of UC Berkeley’s first Ecopoetics Conference 2013.
